Golf exercises to improve your game

By: Mr D Stevens

The days where golf was simply a past time involving little or no exercise, or simply as a pastime between friends, collegaues, or business associates while they mull over a business venture are long gone, especially in the professional circuit, Tiger Woods himself is an avid fan of being physically fit as any athlete in their own sport, and is well known for his regular physical training from the very beginning of his career.
Whether a professional golfer, or a layman learnign the ropes of an effective golf swing, or simply making a business deal amongst work colleagues, looking like a professional golfer will not interfere with the individual's attempt to negotiate a deal, or even while away the time as a relaxing past time. Like any exercise it is best to do some warm up before delving into the main parts of it, golf should be no exception, and for this purpose should be treated as no different as you would approach any exercise.
The golfer is an athelete like any other, and it would be unheard for an athlete not to be in the very best physical condition for their sport.
The fantastic thing with golf as since it is an outdoor sport, all that is required for effective exercises are simply what is to hand, the great outdoors and a golf club.
Some of the effective golf exercises any individual can perform to improve their golf game, can be initialised at a very basic level.
For example simply using a golf club as a support while the individual squats up and down, these supported squats will effect the mobility of the individual's upper to lower body as they go through with their golf swing.
A secondary exercise to improve an individual's golf game is again using their golf club as leverage, placing it on the back of their necks and putting their hands through it so it supports them, then standing straight rotating their body as far as it will go to the left, and the same to the right, these rotational exercises will also add mobility for an effective swing.
A third exercise to improve an individual's golf game involves the traditional exercise of many field athletes which involves touching their toes while swinging their arms to the left and also to the right and vice versa, again these exercices aim to make that golf swing as fluid, and as natural as possible for an effective performance.
A fourth exercise again involving an individual's golf club, is to place it at the back of their neck, with their hands through it, so again it provides leverage, and squat up and down, these exercises will strenghten their lower body while they go through the motions of their golf swing.
Ofcourse there is more to making an individual look like a professional golfer, than simply effective exercises, but in the long run it does no negative impact to their game, and once they have grasped the fundamentals of an effective golf swing, these exercises will add much needed power to their golfing game.
